Sprinkled Expressions Flower Power

Such a sweet card using the flower stamp in the Sprinkled Expressions stamp set.  It's one of my favorite sets in the Sale-a-bration Catalog. Do you laugh when I use the word "favorite"?  But I just can't help myself...I have a lot of favorites!

I created this card yesterday during an open stamp time.  One of my downline (hi Leishman) brought a  picture of a card off the internet that she thought she would like to make.  So I decided to cut the parts and let it be their make and take.  I changed it up a bit since I didn't have the embossing folder used in the original but even so it turned out really cute.

After everyone left I decided to do a bit of searching to see if I could find the original.  I am happy to say, in a short amount of time, I found the original on Stampin' Connection and am able to thank Wendy Knowles.

This adorable stamp set is yours free during Sale-a-bration when you make a $50 purchase.  Actually you get a free stamp set for EVERY $50 you spend! And when your order reaches $150 you qualify for hostess gifts.  Before I was a demonstrator this was my favorite Stampin' Up! time of year.  I would always host a party because of all the free stuff.  If you would like to do the same let's have a party with a few of your family and friends at your house or my stamping studio.

Stamp Set:  Sprinkled Expressions (C125132), (W125130) Free with $50 order during Sale-a-bration
Ink: Pretty in Pink (101301)
Card Stock: Pretty in Pink (100459), Whisper White (100730)
Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (117335), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309), Blushing Bride 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon, Basic Pearls (119247) Big Shot (113439)

Send Me Soaring - Regional Swap

Hi Stampers!

Today I would like to share one of the Make and Takes from the San Antonio Regional.  Since I was already in San Antonio for Leadership I decided to spend an extra day and it was well worth it.

This cute card actually uses the stamp set Send Me Soaring from the Occasions Catalog.  But the stamps in that set are actually kites!  And as you can see there are no kites in this card.  We took the polka dot kite  and stamped it on whisper white card stock and then punched out the hearts and the leaf.  Clever idea to use your stamps in this way.  And the flower stem is the kite string. :)

We used the 1 1/4" circle punch to cut the leaf and to round the corners on the card.  I love when stamps and tools are so versatile.

Stamp Set: Send Me Soaring (C125442), W125440)
Ink: Pool Party (122938), Calypso Coral (122939), Lucky Limeade (122935)
Card Stock: Calypso Coral (122925), Crumb Cake 120953), Whisper White (100730), Berry Blossoms DSP (122350), Sweet Shop Specialty DSP (125408)
Accessories and Tools: Pool Party 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon (122975),Bitty Buttons 118761), Blossom Bouquet Punch (122464), Scallop Edge Punch (119882), Small Heart Punch (119881), 1-1/4" Circle Punch (119861), 1-3/8" Circle Punch (119601), Dimensionals 104430), Mini Glue Dots (103683)

So, I was asked to do this card for a make and take today for demos that didn't get to go to Leadership.  Problem is... I didn't order that stamp set, I don't have the small heart punch or some of the other products used to make this card.  I decided I would go through what I had and see how close I could get and still use the same technique.  This is what I came up with.

I pulled out the polka dot stamp from For All You Do and the smallest heart from the Heart to Heart Punch.  Used a different Early Espresso DSP and sentiment and added a large pearl.  So when you see a card in a magazine know that you can recreate something similar using your Stampin' Up! products.

Stamp Sets: For All You Do (115360), Friendly Phrases (C126151), (W126149)
Ink and Paper are the same as the first card.
Accessories: Basic Pearl (119247) in place of Bitty button, Heart to Heart Punch (119881) in place of the small heart,

How about creating your own card using the Regional make and take as inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by...hope to see you tomorrow.

P.S. I Love You - Conversation Hearts

Conversation hearts dressed and ready for Valentine's Day.

My January club/class members had fun using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to wrap a box of Sweetheart conversation hearts.  These happen to be my husband's favorite. :)  They found that using the scoring tool makes it easy to cover any size box.  And the scoring markers are a real plus when scoring the same project over and over again.

I thought I would share with you several reasons why Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scored Scoring Tool is my favorite scoring tool.
  • I love the stylus!  It's comfortable in your hand and it easily slips down the paper without slipping out of the grooves.  It doesn't flatten or wear out.  And I never lose it because it snaps tightly on the top of the tool.
  • The markers - They make it easy to score a project over and over again without having to think about it.
  • The hidden storage compartment - A place to store the markers and additional scoring tools.

And now I can hardly wait to try the new Diagonal Plate that fits right on top of the scoring tool.  It's a new product that will be available March 1st. Great for making envelopes, boxes and more.

Stamp Sets:  P.S. I Love You (C125462), (W125460)
Ink: Basic Black (101179, Real Red (103133)
Card Stock: Real Red (102482), Pretty in Pink (100459), Whisper White (100730)
Accessories: Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (109025), Full Heart Punch (119883), Cherry     Cobbler Dazzling Details (125585)

Creativity Is Contagious...Pass It On!

This cute card was featured on main stage at the Regional following Leadership.  The quote was created in My Digital Studio and I just love it! That's exactly why I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator - so I can "pass it on".

For my local customers I am having an open stamp time this Sunday, January 29th, from 3:00pm to 6:30pm.  One of the ways I can "pass it on". It will be held in my stamp room and you will have access to my stamps, punches, dies, and inks.  Bring your current projects or begin one here. Maybe you have some Valentine cards or treats you are working on.  I will be able to help my beginner stampers with planning and cutting their projects.  And the best part is you will be able to try some of the tools you may not have had a chance to work with yet.  Bring your adhesive, scissors, markers. blender pens etc.. Check my events page for details and RSVP so I know how many to plan for.

The Sale-a-bration catalog has some exciting new stamp sets, designer paper, and accessories.  Below are samples of projects from Leadership and the San Antonio Regional spotlighting these products.  This first one was shared on main stage.  The rest of them are either from swaps or displays.

Leadership 2012 Make and Takes

Today I would like to share additional Make and Takes from Leadership. All the projects used the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set that we received for attending.

In addition to the stamp set we used the Blossom Builder Designer Printed Kit on page 18 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  These three cute flowers are in that kit.

Twitterpated DSP was used in this next card.  I love the pattern on this stamp...isn't it beautiful?

I can't wait to make some additional projects with the Blossom Builder Kit. So cute and easy to use.

Now let me share some of my favorite projects on display using the Mixed Bunch stamp set and the coordinating Blossom Punch.  Some of these were part of the demonstrator contest.

Hope you enjoyed.

Leadership Sharing - Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and the Matching Blossom Punch

It's been a week since I've been on my blog and I promised myself that while at Leadership training I would sit down and post something everyday.  As you can see that didn't happen and so I want to go on record, I blame my roommates and the others in my group.  :)  Every time I thought I would sit at my computer  or rest they would drag me off on another adventure.  But it sure was fun!

This is the six of us at "make and takes".  At each place there were surprise table gifts from Shelli.  Well...they were a surprise to me since it was my first time at Leadership.

First is this cute fabric organizer.  It matches the bags we received.  The paper and fabric will be available in June when the new catalog comes out.  Yes, I did say June.  More about that later.

This is the inside with pockets and cute ruffles

A quick and cute box made with the Fancy Favor Die.

And look what's inside.  Yummy chocolate in three flavors.  I couldn't believe it when we were told that one of the Stampin' Up! employees made all the chocolate for over 1,400 demonstrators.  I was impressed!

This is one of the make and takes.  We made two of these, one to take home and the other to place in a box to be sent to The Ronald MacDonald House.  Now I know many of you think "I'm practically perfect in every way" (Mary Poppins) but I do make plenty of mistakes. :) This card was supposed to be made in portrait mode and I should have realized that when I had to overlap the green and white pieces way too much...but I didn't.  However the theme for Leadership and 2012 is "My Way" and I was able to say "I did it my way!  Love it!

One more share before I leave you today.  These were my gifts for my roommates.  The boxes were made with one full sheet of Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper.  Got the idea from a non Stampin' Up! site. Inside were several little gifts including a pair of Valentine socks and some candy, of course.  If you would like to know how to make these boxes leave me a comment.

Tomorrow begins Sale-a-bration!  For every $50 you order (before tax and shipping) you get to choose one of the free items from the Sale-a-bration brochure.  That's for every $50...no limit.

If your order reaches $150 you get a sweet tote bag and at $400 you receive an awesome bundle which includes the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and the coordinating ribbon and brads found on page 7.  It is important to go through my blog to get to my Stampin' Up! web page so you will also receive your hostess benefits.

During Sale-a-bration Stampin Up will be offering the Starter Kit for only $125 plus you can choose between a free Designer Series Paper pack or Digital Download for every month you place an order for the entire year!  So if you are thinking you would like to join Stampin' Up! and be a part of my team or just want to receive a great price on lots of product contact me for further details.

Thanks for allowing me to share with you today...please stop back tomorrow.

Apothecary Art Meets the Framelits

I think I'm in love...with the new "cool" tools from Stampin' Up!.  I'm talking about the new Framelits Dies  available in both the Hearts and Labels collection.  They are very easy to use and you're going to love the way they layer.  And when you team them up with the new Apothecary Art stamp set you have the formula for some beautiful cards.  This is one of the cards we are making in Club this month.

  • I decided to use two of this year's in colors -  Pool Party with a bit of Limeade on the leaves.  It's such a crisp look against the whisper white.
  • The new Edgelits are a lot of fun.  This one has such a pretty shape but I'm still not sure which of the two (bracket or scallop) I like the best.
  • A bit of texture is added with the Adorning Accents Embossing Folder.  Can you tell that the pattern is cute little hearts?
  • You could stop there but for a bit of Wow I added the Designer Printed Brad on the 5'8" Organza Ribbon.

Stamp Set: Apothecary Art (C125527,W125525)
Ink: Early Espresso (119670), Pool Party (122938), Lucky Limeade (122935)
Paper:  Whisper White (100730), Pool Party (122938
Accessories:  Labels Collection Framlits Die (125598), Blender Pens (102845), Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies (125595), Designer Printed Brads 2011-2013 in color (122940), 5/8" Organza Ribbon (114319), Big Shot (113439)
